Stop smoking! For good! Wouldn't it be great to be able to take a deep breath without coughing, to be able to do normal activities withoutbecoming winded, to have less colds and sinus problems, to have some endurance during sex, etc.,etc.,etc.? Well, just quit smoking!  Hey, I don't have to tell you this- you already know it.  The problem is finding the right solution to help YOU, as an INDIVIDUAL, quit (everybody is different- what works for some may not work for others).  So, I'm going to give you a guide to help you choose which products &/or treatments you think will best help YOU!  The information here may seem a bit lengthy but if you want to quit, please read it all!

LET'S GET STARTED & GET HEALTHY!
     There are many books, websites, drugs, holistic & psychiatric approaches to helping one kick the habit-  and I, as a pharmacist and one who has helped many others quit, am going to give you some free information that I know will help you.
 
       I can't count how many people I've met that claim they can't quit but have only tried 1 or 2 methods, and these were recommendations from friends, or worse yet recommended by a health professional who just said "Try this" and never communicated with the person again.  Smoking is a terrible addiction that many times may require lots of trial & error but it can be conquered!
 
       As a pharmacist for almost 30 years now I am able to work part-time and devote more time to helping people quit smoking. Smoking led to an excrutiatingly painful & prolonged death for my mother (not to mention years of her later life filled with depression and debilities because she wouldn't give it up). She drowned gasping for breath on dry land.
 
       We also need to clean up the air- don't laugh- every time you light up it pollutes!  In earlier times people never thought they would run out of buffalo, then later fish in the ocean, rain forests, the ozone layer, etc., but you get my point-  with increasing populations and increasing air pollution every molecule counts!    
NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT YOUR WORLD!!!
   OK now, forget about goodness for the earth, and let's concentrate on your compulsion to put a cancer stick in your mouth.  As a smoker and because the nicotine has such huge chains on you, you tend to think that you're not bothering anyone else.  Well, most people don't want to offend you by telling you they're having difficulty breathing while you smoke, or that your clothes, car, & house STINK, or that your yellow teeth, yellow fingernails, yellow walls, & yellow furnishings are gross, but I guarantee you if you stop smoking for 6 months to a year you will understand what I'm talking about.                      
 
       Now, the most important part (because you should be feeling just a little bit guilty by now) is the people around you- your kids, grandkids, friends, even your dear pets! Studies done by dedicated health professionals have shown that second hand smoke is just as, or even more harmful for people exposed to it.  Asthma, emphysema, blood clots & other circulatory problems, heart problems, digestive problems, growth problems, pregnancy problems, and a host of other maladies have all been attributed to second hand smoke.
 
       Think about it- each volume of smoke you put in your body displaces the same volume of air that contains the precious oxygen that your  body needs to operate every system in it. If you only take in half the amount of oxygen your body needs when you smoke, what's that doing to your brain, nerves, muscles, heart, lungs, skin, and other organs? And that's besides the tar & nicotine deposits & other poisons left in your body. YUCK!     Then, there's cancer (that dreaded word- a horrible often fatal disease) of the mouth, throat, lungs, stomach, and others.
